community Composting program questions

(home pick-ups & local drop-off members)

  • If you choose the weekly option, make sure to leave your bucket out on your chosen service day. If you have chosen bi-weekly, we will pick-up your compost every other week.

  • Yes you can, but we really only recommend this for our weekly residential pick-up subscribers or our community drop-off members. For those who are bi-weekly home pick-ups, we recommend only composting vegetarian ingredients to ensure a clean and safe composting experience for you and our team members.

  • Let us know! We can swing by the following week, or you can order a special pick-up from the shop in your member dashboard and we will get a driver out to you within the next couple days.

  • Scroll up. and see the list of what you can and cannot compost above this FAQ.

  • No problem, you can manage your service in the member dashboard area. You can visit your dashboard here.

  • One to two weeks is not usually enough time for this to happen, but to prevent it, every bucket comes with a lid for this reason. Make sure you secure the lid after adding your compost to your Renüable bucket. If you produce a lot of organic waste or have a large household, we recommend weekly home pick-ups.

Renüable Commercial Composting

  • It depends!

We account for variables based on locations, level of service, accessibility, total volume, and even what type of compostable materials you have, all play a role in pricing.

Since these variables vary, we offer quick, custom quotes for Commercial Composting clients based on your goals and needs.

Costs start around $200/month, but you can get in touch with a quick form to get a specific quote started today.

  • Yes you can!

Renuable’s commercial program can accept and process meat, dairy, approved compostable products, cheese, bones, and more. We offer sealed containers to ensure a clean and safe composting experience for your team and ours.

  • Probably!

We usually hear from clients that they have seen a significant savings on their overall waste expenses due to Renuable’s sealed containers only needing to be picked up once per week rather than the open-top, stinky and leaky dumpsters previously needing multiple pickups per week.

the longer answer is: It depends how your current waste management plan is set up (i.e. who pays for it? Is the trash included in the cost of rent already?) and on what percentage of your waste is compostable (usually about 40-60% of a business’s waste is compostable).

In many cases there are financial incentives to composting, as well as the ability for the business to promote and highlight the many sustainability aspects that come along with composting with us like finsihed compost donations, and the live-tracking diversion dashboard that is included in the program.

  • Nope. We pick up each container at least weekly, and to further prevent any smells or bugs, every drum comes with a sealed lid for this reason. By ensuring the lid is secured after adding your compost to your Renüable drum, your team will enjoy a cleaner, safer, more pleasant loading dock or dumpster area.

Renüable Events & Wedding Composting

  • Yes, we do!

We have become a distributor for any of your compostable service ware needs. Compostable plates, cups, forks, knives, napkins, of course, straws. We can even get custom logos and printing done for you.

Making your event truly zero-waste has never been easier!

Weather you’re planning a small event orr a full-blown music festival, we have you covered.

  • Right now, we serve Broward, Miami-Dade, and Hillsborough counties. If you're in a neighboring county, please reach out because we may be able to accommodate you.

  • Before the event, we provide you with compostable plates, cups, cutlery, and other utensils. On the day of the event, we will get there around the time food and drinks will start being served to set-up. We will bring our Renüable truck to make sure we can handle all the waste being created!

  • Even if your event doesn't feature any food or beverage services, reach out to us to see how we can divert the waste produced at the event from landfills and determine what type of waste services would be best for you and your event.

Renüable Waste Audit & Consultation Services

  • If you work with us, just one. We make sure to provide all the data you need to make executive decisions in your business. If you have optimized your waste management but are looking to fine tune and streamline further, reach out to discuss a follow-up audit.

  • We will need to monitor your waste producing cycle over a 24-hour timeframe.

  • Over the course of these 24 hours, we will record what type of waste is being thrown away and the weight of the waste. After the 24 hours is up, we will take this time to categorize the waste and provide our recommendations moving forward.

  • Education. You will need to educate your staff on the best practices for waste management moving forward. We find it helpful to explain to them why each step is being taken, this gives the staff a bit of autonomy and understanding, as well as giving them the power to proactively manage waste efficiently.

  • Another great benefit of working with us is that we're well connected in the sustainability industry. We know of private recycling businesses that we can put you in touch with to pick up your valuable recyclables like plastics, metals, and paper products.

  • Renüable can of course! Check out our Commercial Composting Program here.

Renüable Landscaping

  • Compost is an essential part of Renüable landscaping, yes! However, it's not the only type of amendment being used. We also use soil that has been fortified with rich composting amendment, as well as mulch, pine needles, pine needles, and other soil building, root-protecting amendments.

  • That's great! We invite you to be part of the process as we design the landscape of your dreams, after all this is your space. We will try our best to work in the different elements you're looking for.

  • Yes! Our goal is to make your landscape as sustainable as possible, and growing your own food is one of the best ways to accomplish that. Using our finished compost will also help your garden thrive.

  • This will really come down to your local government's laws. Luckily, a newer (much awaited) law in Florida states that local governments cannot ban homeowners from growing fruits and vegetables in their own lawns. We'll take that as a win for the environment!

  • Yes! This is a separate service we offer that you can enroll in. This includes pruning, maintaining tidiness
